1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Synapse ("the Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Platform or any associated services.
2. User Accounts & Workspaces
To access certain features of the Platform, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account or within your workspaces.
3. Platform Services & AI Sandbox
Synapse provides natural-language AI coding assistance, interactive workspaces, secure cloud sandboxes (e.g. E2B or Daytona), and deployment previews. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate services at any time without prior notice.
You agree not to use the cloud sandboxes to run malware, perform crypto mining, distribute spam, conduct DDoS attacks, or engage in any unauthorized network intrusion.
4. Purchases and Billing
Paid subscriptions and top-up credits are sold through Paddle. For Paddle transactions, Paddle is the Merchant of Record and handles payment processing, tax, invoices, receipts, refunds, and payment support. Synapse records workspace credit grants locally after verified provider events.
5. Workspace Credits
Credits provide access to AI assistant generation. Subscription credits apply to the relevant billing period. Purchased top-up credits do not expire unless a separate written agreement states otherwise. Credits are not a cash account, bank balance, or stored-value wallet.
6. Ownership of Generated Code
You retain all ownership, intellectual property rights, and copyright over the code, assets, and applications generated by the AI agent within your sandboxes. Synapse claims no ownership over user-generated source code.
7. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to misuse the Platform, including but not limited to:
- Violating any local, state, national, or international laws.
- Attempting to bypass security systems or RLS constraints.
- Scraping or abusing API endpoints.
- Exceeding credit allowances through automated scripting.
8. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL SYNAPSE OR ITS LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
